I am the trigger
I wonder if I would cross your heart
I hear the blood flowing
I see bodies being buried
I want to stay in place and not be moved
I am the trigger.
I pretend to keep the bullet in place
I feel like all that blood is moving me on
I touch cold hearts
I worry that I would never stop
I cry to know that each day one more casket is being bought
I am the trigger
I understand everyone goes through a rainy day
I say its not something to keep me away
I dream I stop passing through souls
I try to keep it as a word
I hope everyone understands.
I am the trigger

MEDAL OF HONOR
The Congressional Metal of Honor
The Metal of Honor was established by the congress on July 12, 1862 embed by Act 9 and Act 25. This metal is awarded to any person that who is serving time in any War that got involved with anything that is at risk of their lives while on duty. This metal is a small 5-point star that hangs from a blue ribbon. This metal comes at a terrible price because most of the veterans that earned this Metal of Honor are death at the time that they are awarded for their bravery. This metal has been awarded 3,409 times since it was created and it was given to only one woman.
This metal has many powerful stories and each and every one of them is unique in its special way because every person that earned it did something so unique that the president might have been so impressed and they awarded that person. The metal is a really high risk for people to loose their lives but these veterans still put their lives in danger and have the courage to defend another person that they don’t even know. This is what makes the metal so important because all of these recipients show what this country is all about and that we are know as a “united” country for a reason and these veterans worked with each other as teams even tough they didn’t know each other they stood up for each other and this is what brings the country together.
Until this day the metals are still given to those who rescue a life and a family sometimes ours but we don’t know what history we have until we realize that there are people in this world like the Metal of Honor recipients that make a difference in this world and most important make history to the United States that shows what a great country it is. This will keep on making history for ever and it would show others what this country honors and what the Metal of Honor which each time that it is given out it gives the country another amazing story of how they all risk their lives for others that they don’t know and they know that their doing it for the country and for families.

Dear:
Colonel Jack H. Jacobs
I thank you for everything that you have done for this country serving great service in Vietnam . It must have been hard to save fourteen people at the same time and it amazed me that you still had the heart to give each one of them first aid. With you being a hero you made me realize why this country is called United and that is because people like you help others come together by providing examples of great service to this country. I wish that you receive all the respect that you have earned because I know that you have received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart besides the Metal of Honor. Which all of these requires great sacrifice. I thank you for doing history to this country and I will always keep you in my prayers.
With Respect,
Cadet Corporal, Mayra Soriano

JACK H. JACOBS

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. Capt. Jacobs (then 1st Lt.), Infantry, distinguished himself while serving as assistant battalion advisor, 2d Battalion, 16th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division, Army of the Republic of Vietnam. The 2d Battalion was advancing to contact when it came under intense heavy machine gun and mortar fire from a Viet Cong battalion positioned in well fortified bunkers. As the 2d Battalion deployed into attack formation its advance was halted by devastating fire. Capt. Jacobs, with the command element of the lead company, called for and directed air strikes on the enemy positions to facilitate a renewed attack. Due to the intensity of the enemy fire and heavy casualties to the command group, including the company commander, the attack stopped and the friendly troops became disorganized. Although wounded by mortar fragments, Capt. Jacobs assumed command of the allied company, ordered a withdrawal from the exposed position and established a defensive perimeter. Despite profuse bleeding from head wounds which impaired his vision, Capt. Jacobs, with complete disregard for his safety, returned under intense fire to evacuate a seriously wounded advisor to the safety of a wooded area where he administered lifesaving first aid. He then returned through heavy automatic weapons fire to evacuate the wounded company commander. Capt. Jacobs made repeated trips across the fire-swept open rice paddies evacuating wounded and their weapons. On 3 separate occasions, Capt. Jacobs contacted and drove off Viet Cong squads who were searching for allied wounded and weapons, single-handedly killing 3 and wounding several others. His gallant actions and extraordinary heroism saved the lives of 1 U.S. advisor and 13 allied soldiers. Through his effort the allied company was restored to an effective fighting unit and prevented defeat of the friendly forces by a strong and determined enemy. Capt. Jacobs, by his gallantry and bravery in action in the highest traditions of the military service, has reflected great credit upon himself, his unit, and the U.S. Army.

I HAVE A DREAM...
THIS QUOTE MIGHT HAVE BEEN IMPORTANT TO THE AUDIENCE BECAUSE THEY WANTED THEIR WORD TO BE HEARD AND MARTIN LUTHER KING WAS MAKING IT HAPPEN. PEOPLE WERE TIRED OF BEING JUDGED BY THEIR SKIN COLOR AND BEING LOOKED AS SOMETHING LESS THAN THEMSELVES. THE AUDIENCE THAT WAS LISTENING TO THIS SPEECH PROBABLY AGREED BECAUSE THEY HAD CHILDREN TOO AND DIDN'T WANT THEM TO GO TO THE SAME THAT THEY DID.

I THINK THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE EVEN UNTIL NOW THEIR IS STILL SEGREGATION GOING ON EVERYWHERE EVEN IN OUR SCHOOL. WHEN EVER YOU SEE CLICKS THEIR ALWAYS HISPANICS IN ONE SIDE AND COLORED IN THE OTHER. PEOPLE TRY MAKE THIS A DIFFERENCE BUT WHEN YOU WALK INTO A CLASS IT IS ALWAYS LIKE THAT. TEACHERS MIGHT NOT DO IT ON PURPOSE BUT WE ARE ALL LOOKED AT FOR OUR COLOR NOT OUR CHARACTER IT WAS HARD FOR MARTIN LUTHER KING TO GET HIS WORD ACROSS BUT HE DID. TH ATS WHY WE NEED TO FOLLOW HISTORY THAT FALLS BEHIND US BECAUSE WE NEED TO FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS AND WE KNOW THAT ONE DAY WERE GOING TO BE MOTHERS TOO AND WE DON'T WANT OUR CHILDREN TO GROW UP WITH ALL THIS SEGREGATION THAT IS STILL GOING ON IN CERTAIN AREAS.
