I HAVE A DREAM...

"I HAVE A DREAM THAT MY FOUR LITTLE CHILDREN WILL ONE DAY LIVE IN A NATION WHERE THEY WILL NOT BE JUDGED BY THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN BUT BY THE CONTENT OF THEIR CHARACTER."-------Martin Luther King Jr.
THIS QUOTE MIGHT HAVE BEEN IMPORTANT TO THE AUDIENCE BECAUSE THEY WANTED THEIR WORD TO BE HEARD AND MARTIN LUTHER KING WAS MAKING IT HAPPEN. PEOPLE WERE TIRED OF BEING JUDGED BY THEIR SKIN COLOR AND BEING LOOKED AS SOMETHING LESS THAN THEMSELVES. THE AUDIENCE THAT WAS LISTENING TO THIS SPEECH PROBABLY AGREED BECAUSE THEY HAD CHILDREN TOO AND DIDN'T WANT THEM TO GO TO THE SAME THAT THEY DID.
I THINK THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE EVEN UNTIL NOW THEIR IS STILL SEGREGATION GOING ON EVERYWHERE EVEN IN OUR SCHOOL. WHEN EVER YOU SEE CLICKS THEIR ALWAYS HISPANICS IN ONE SIDE AND COLORED IN THE OTHER. PEOPLE TRY MAKE THIS A DIFFERENCE BUT WHEN YOU WALK INTO A CLASS IT IS ALWAYS LIKE THAT. TEACHERS MIGHT NOT DO IT ON PURPOSE BUT WE ARE ALL LOOKED AT FOR OUR COLOR NOT OUR CHARACTER IT WAS HARD FOR MARTIN LUTHER KING TO GET HIS WORD ACROSS BUT HE DID. TH ATS WHY WE NEED TO FOLLOW HISTORY THAT FALLS BEHIND US BECAUSE WE NEED TO FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS AND WE KNOW THAT ONE DAY WERE GOING TO BE MOTHERS TOO AND WE DON'T WANT OUR CHILDREN TO GROW UP WITH ALL THIS SEGREGATION THAT IS STILL GOING ON IN CERTAIN AREAS.

HIS N HER AMERICAN DREAM

MOM SAYS THAT HER AMERICAN DREAM WAS TO COME HERE FOR US THAT SHE DID NT REALLY CARE ABOUT HER BU THAT SHE KNEW THAT THIS COUNTRY WAS FULL OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR MY OLDER SISTER SINCE SHE WAS THE ONLY THAT THEY HAD AT THE TIME.
MY SISTER WAS SICK WHEN SHE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES TH ATS WHY MY MOM WANTED DOCTORS HERE TO HELP HER HERE WITH HER ILLNESS AT THE TIME. WHEN MY SISTER GOT CURED MY MOM ENDED UP STAYING HERE AND ME AND MY OTHER SISTER CAME TO LIFE:) MY DADS AMERICAN DREAM WAS USUAL TO EVERYONES WAS TO MAKE MONEY BUY A HOUSE AND A CAR. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS THAT HE DID NT WANT TO GO BACK BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT HIS LIFE ON OUR LIFE WAS GOING TO BEGIN HERE IN THE UNITED STATES. WHEN MY MOM STARTED GETTING HOME SICK SHE KNEW THAT WE ALL HAD TO GO TO MEXICO BACK TO HER HOMELAND BUT SHE REALIZED THAT THIS COUNTRY OFFERED OPPORTUNITIES FOR ME AND SHE WANTS ME TO BE SOMETHING IN MY LIFE AND NOT DO THE SAME MISTAKE THAT SHE DID IN HER LIFE. THIS IS WHAT MY PARENTS ENDED UP SAYING AT THE END "LETS JUST SAY THAT OUR AMERICAN DREAM IS FOR YOU GIRLS NOT TO DO THE SAME MISTAKES IN LIFE AND SUCCEED IN LIFE, WHEN EVER YOU GIRLS ARE SOMETHING THAT YOU GIRLS WANT TO BE WITH PASSION YOU WOULD KNOW WHAT THE AMERICAN DREAM IS REALLY ABOUT" I THINK THAT BY THIS BOTH OF THEM WERE TRYING TO SAY THAT WE SHOULD LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES AND KNOW WHAT THIS COUNTRY OFFERS US AND WHAT IT HELPED US DO IN LIFE WITH THE THINGS THAT WE HAVE A PASSION TO GET AND A PASSION TO BE:)

WHY I BELIEVE IMMIGRANTS SHOULD STAY!!!

Immigrants stay here in the United States to better their lives all the time. Immigrant’s benefits both the country and themselves.when ever people do their taxes they get money back but immigrants don’t get anything back. The government keeps it because the undocumented people can’t allege their money because they need a social security number. Immigrants only benefit themselves by being able to have money to eat and pay bills each day. All the undocumented people want is to be able to have a roof for their family.
It is hard to be like a nomad moving from place to place and trying to settle themselves in a secure place. These immigrants have to start all over again from the bottom because they come here to the United States with no money, house, food, or job. People give everything up for a chance that they still don’t know if their life is going to be better but they still risk it. A lot of these undocumented people keep their word and stay here to work day and night in exchange to get paid less than any regular worker gets paid.
Undocumented people get treated like criminals. Like those 300 workers that got arrested in South Carolina. All they were doing wrong was work to get money everyone one needs money because money doesn’t grow on trees. Immigrants don’t do anything wrong with working here in the United States. How would you feel if you get kicked out because it was a mistake with your papers so now you’re the immigrant? Would you still feel the same about kicking undocumented people out? We all know that you wouldn’t like it all you do here is work and support your family right?
Most of these immigrants have been here all of their lives but are still considered undocumented. My older sister was brought here when she was about two weeks born but she can’t get her documents either way. She tried going to college but she couldn't’t get any financial aid but she couldn't’t because her immigration status. All she was able to get were scholarships but that really didn’t help she wasn’t in luck. So she only got little help but bills were too expensive so she had to drop out of college. I know that she is not the only person in this situation here in the United States. What stops the government to give a little help for those students that really have passion to study and be something in their lives? These students only want help and permission to be here legally. Others that have the chance to stay here and study here are just standing on the corner and dropping out of school with no job and selling drugs. What are those are’nt they the criminals instead of the people that are just here working and trying to go to school???

WE ARE NOT CRIMINALS!!!

This video shows on how i think that everyone should be treated equal. people do need to realize on the hard work it is to get here to the united states its not easy.

This video supports the way that i feel against deportation. people really don't know how hard it is to be able to stay here without being deported and being able to get the same rights than anyone else that has their citizenship.

When i seen this video it made my opinion stronger about against deportation.

TWO DOWN 13 MORE TO GO!

1.Go to the theater with my best friend for her birthday!
We were planning to go out for my best friends birthday but there was a chance of plans in her family! I know great!! but it was in a good way because she got to have a party for her sweet sixteen. we really didn't get to go where we wanted to go which was the movies but we got to party. In order to go my dad made me do my homework before i was to go out. which it was good because i didn't have to worry about it any more. when i got to her party she looked so pretty with her dress! her theme was Hollywood so everything looked so fancy. when the D.J got there they made her stand in front of everyone until everyone was done signing to her which was cute but she got really shy. Mostly all of her friends were there which was great for her because she had all of her friends and family together:)

1.Go paintball fighting with my family September 21st
I got the chance to go paintball fighting we went to Indiana to get a place that we can do that around Chicago. i only went with my sister her boyfriend and my cousins. It wasn't a lot of us but we had fun. We had to get up at six in the morning we left our house around seven to get there at ten. it was really cool because i really don't get to spend time with my cousins or anyone in the family so we decided to take a day off the week and go we had to go Sunday because we had to figure
out where to find a baby sitter for my cousins baby. we ended up coming back like until three but from there we went to eat to Lalo's restaurant to talk things that we have missed on which was a lot!! we were tired but we still did a cook out for our parents and we got the family together it wasn't in the plan but the opportunity showed up and we took it.
